powell signature
Since 2002 the Powell Signature flute has been the most economically priced entirely sterling silver flute available. Made completely at the Powell workshop in Massachusetts, these instruments are designed to provide the "Powell Sound" in an entry level professional flute. Each Signature flute is made with .016" sterling silver tubing, French (open) cups, pointed arms, drawn tone holes, the Modern Powell Scale, a pinned mechanism with hidden adjusting screws and a Signature headjoint.

The Powell Signature piccolo is made by Powell at Powell's workshop in Maynard, MA, USA. Each instrument is made of aged grenadilla wood combined with a sterling silver mechanism. Signature piccolos utilize the Powell scale and have A-442 pitch and a conical bore. Each tone hole is undercut by hand to allow ease of playing and enhanced resonance.
